Anna Millichamp, Accredited Practising Dietitian & Accredited Nutritionist
Hi, my name is Anna and welcome to my blog. I am an Accredited Nutritionist (AN) and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with a passion for paediatric nutrition, a mum, a surfer and a food lover. Here you will find information on interesting nutrition topics, breastfeeding and tasty recipes.
I have a pragmatic philosophy relating to food and eating. I LOVE food, I dislike the concept of ‘diets’ and I believe that you don’t have to be stick thin to be healthy. I believe that what we eat matters – it provides us with the fuel and nutrients we need to keep going, but it is also one of life’s great joys and is intertwined with our culture, social lives, emotional, and mental wellbeing.
My clinical practice has been on hold whilst I enjoy spending time with my first born daughter. I intend to recommence seeing paediatric clients in early 2015. I have previously worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH), Randwick, as a paediatric dietitian and have my own private practice. Whilst at SCH I gained experience working with infants and children with feeding difficulties, cerebral palsy, gastroenterological problems and allergies and intolerances, as well as general nutrition concerns. In my private practice I have experience consulting with both adult and paediatric clients on a wide range of issues such as failure to thrive, fussy eating, weight control, diabetes, allergies and intolerances, eating disorders and irritable bowel syndrome.
So please take a look around and if you want to sign up for my updates or email me with a question, please do so.
Take care, Anna
